Audrey Sommerfeld heads up the ViSalus Sciences® product marketing efforts and brand direction, ensuring the company has a competitive and compelling product line and the tools to generate exposure and sales. Sommerfeld brings to ViSalus™ the experiences of a successful career as a marketing executive with global leadership roles in some of the world’s most established companies.
After a career in well known companies, such as Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Neutrogena, Sommerfeld more recently served as the Vice President of Global Product Marketing for Herbalife International, a $2 billion corporation that spans 59 countries. At Herbalife, she was responsible for product development and launch strategy, working with global licensing, Research & Development, and regulatory teams, creating sales and marketing tools, and conducting product trainings before thousands of distributors. In her years with Herbalife, she launched a 12 SKU skincare line across 24 countries on the same day, repositioned and re-launched the company’s core weight loss brand, launched additional brands and products, and collaborated with nutrition experts on new product development. This combination of domestic and international experience gives ViSalus™ extraordinary leverage as the company expands globally.
Sommerfeld’s primary focus is on building and implementing the strategic direction of the ViSalus™ brand. In her relatively short time with the company she has already put her prior experience to use in expanding the ViSalus™ product line. Most recently Sommerfeld has been responsible for helping launch the NEURO™ product line, the exceptional Trim Slim Shape™ weight loss program family of products, the unique addition of phytonutrients in the Shape-Up™ products and the scientifically innovative new Deter-Mints™ crave control product, to name a few. Audrey Sommerfeld’s dynamic energy and long-term objective of elevating the ViSalus™ brand to stand among the most recognizable and respected in the wellness industry worldwide is already hitting the mark.
