John Purdy
President and Chief Operating Officer
John Purdy joined ViSalus in 2010, adding to the executive management team an individual who has risen through the ranks of two Billion-dollar companies, having both maintained the stability of proven leading markets as well as helped launch and build emerging ones.
Purdy most recently held a variety of leadership roles over a 13 year career at Herbalife, including Director of North American Operations, Senior Vice President of International Operations and Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific. He led Herbalife’s efforts in Japan, increasing sales of this leading market during a dramatic growth period from 1995-1999. As Senior Vice President of International Operations, he was responsible for the International Expansion Group which successfully opened markets in Europe and Asia.
Prior to his time with Herbalife, Purdy worked at Amway Corporation for more than 15 years, holding progressively responsible management positions and ultimately being promoted to senior manager of the California operations center.
With ViSalus, Purdy’s focus is on improving efficiency in all aspects of the company’s operations, enhancing the Customer and Distributor experience so that the best products in the world continue to drive the best opportunity in the industry.
